TAWA Names 2016 Murano Activity Vehicle of Texas

In a press release issued earlier today, Nissan reported the most recent accolade for the stylish and capable 2016 Murano. The recognition came from the Texas Auto Roundup in the form of a segment win at the Texas Auto Roundup.

More than 60 automotive journalists from around the country flocked to the Texas Motor Speedway for the annual event hosted by the Texas Auto Writers Association. Thanks to its well-executed, luxurious interior, and bold exterior, the Murano was given the edge to win the Activity Vehicle of Texas title in a highly competitive category.

"The 2015-2016 Murano crossover has won more awards over the last two years than any other SUV in its class* – and the TAWA award is another great honor. The new Murano was also recently named, for the second straight year, as one of the "Best Cars for the Money" by U.S. News & World Report," said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. "Consumers have responded to Murano's bold styling and luxurious interior, with Murano sales up 51 percent in April over the previous year."
